Beowulf Cover and Layout Design

For this assignment, I was tasked with designing a high-end hardback book cover and layout as well as a mass-market paperback cover and layout for a classic novel of my choice. I chose Beowulf because I was very inspired by the Anglo Saxon culture connected to this story. I decided to include elements such as the Anglo Saxon helmet and sword on the hardback design as well as the sword on the paperback cover. 

The colors red and black are the most prominent in these designs, and I chose to do this to demonstrate the overall tone of fighting, death, and blood. 

For the internal layouts, I kept the designs simple, easy to read, and easy to understand.
